My lovely friend Amy, Owner of Sugarpill Cosmetics, was kind enough to send me a care package full of their new eyelashes and some loose eyeshadows I didn’t own, but have been dying to get. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share photos of my goodies with you all as well as swatch the loose shadows so you can see what they look like. (The camera REALLY does them no justice!! They reflect gorgeously in the light and even have other colors in them that you just can’t show with a photo!). Everything in the below post was sent courtesy of Sugarpill Cosmetics.
This will be a pic heavy post!
Sugarpill usually hits it out of the ballpark when it comes to the quality of their products. The above are no exception.
The Lashes ($5.00):
They’re gorgeous and are great quality! Also, at 5.00 a pair, you can’t beat the price! I wore the Angel Baby ones this past weekend and they were fairly easy to apply and weren’t too stiff. You do have to bend them a few times to get them to loosen, but after that it was a piece of cake to wear them. I haven’t worn the others, but if they are similar to the Angel Baby ones, they will also have great wear and application. Each set comes with easy instructions for those who don’t know how to apply false lashes.
The Loose Shadows ($12.00):
Stella: Amazingly gorgeous and super pigmented. The way the rainbow sparkles hit the light is amazing. It went on pretty dark using just an eyeshadow primer and I didn’t have to work very hard to blend it out. When I applied it wet to my arm, It looked almost like a sparkly oil slick which was cool. It also went on pretty even.
Royal Sugar: This is one I’ve been wanting for a very long time. It’s a beautiful royal blue and the way the turquoise sparkles shimmer in the light is very pretty and gives it some dimension. Applying it over a primer resulted in being very pigmented and easy to work with. I didn’t care for how it looked wet, as it gave it a matte finish and didn’t really care for that effect.
Tipsy: A very pretty grass green with shimmer and went on well over a primer. It was easy to blend and had a pretty almost duo-chrome effect. However, applying it wet also had an amazing result and made it more duo-chrome. My only issue, is that when you apply Tipsy wet, it WILL stain. When you apply it over a primer, it doesn’t at all, but I’m still staring at the stain on my arm from applying it wet. It was the only shadow from the ones I received that left a stain. It’s not a dark stain, but it is definitely noticeable.
Decora: I loved this one at lot! The green sparkle in it was hard to photograph, but in the light it’s definitely noticeable. Over a primer it went on pigmented with just a touch of sheerness to it, but that could be built on fairly quick. Applied wet, it was a gorgeous metallic pink with the green shimmer almost floating on top.
Goldilux: This is a great multi-use product! Applied over a primer it is VERY pigmented and sparkly. You can even dust this lightly over your skin for a nice highlighting effect. Applied wet you can use it is a beautiful and very pigmented liner that’s very metallic and looks like liquid gold or even as a fierce liquid gold eyeshadow or in a clear gloss for your lips. It’s definitely a must have!
